Why Stoats Are a Pest

Stoats are pests because they kill their prey by jumping on its back of them and bite their preys neck, so that their prey cant breath, so it dies.Stoats are a pest because they kill 25 million native birds and other native animals!! They have no predators so that makes them a pest and a big threat to the environment in NZ. But the only predators are us humans, so we trap them because they are pests.

We have been learning about P.E.E.L, this makes a better paragraph, P is for point, E is for elaborate, the other E is for example, and L is for link. I think it is a good way to make a better paragraph.

What Good Are Wings Without The Courage To Fly?

On Friday it was anti bullying day AKA pink shirt day, after lunch we painted feathers that are shades of pink. We each got to paint four feathers, I tried wearing as many pieces of pink clothing to school. Pink shirt day means stand together, speak up against bullying.  My teacher cut out all the feathers and wrote a quote that says'' What good are wings without the courage to fly?''

I think this means to be brave by giving things a go. you just never know you may like something or be good at it after you have tried.

Pohutukawa Art

On the last day of March, my mum came into my class to teach. We did art, arts fun, we did Pohutukawa art 😊.It was really fun,we used blue dye, green dye, red dye,and purple dye, white crayons, and black crayons for the back round. The blue dye and the purple dye were for the back round. The red and green dye.We started to do an pencil outline, then we'd go over the pencil outline with the black crayons. After we do the black crayon outline, we get a white crayon to put some little lines to make it stand out. Then our names got called out to do the back round, that's when we get to do the blue and purple dye for the back round then we let it dry. Then red for the flowers and a mix of different greens for the stem and leaves then WALLA!!😊😊
